Sport Inspires Youngsters!

Jazz Rose wants to ensure that the next generation of youngsters enjoy the world of sport. To that end, the entrepreneur has founded his own sports academy which gives young people the chance to develop their skills.

The Voice of sport: What inspired you to form J&C Sports Academy
Jazz: The combination of my passion for sport and my passion for working with children. It's a good niche and I enjoy developing young people's education through sporting expertise.
 
TVOS - What programmes do you provide for children at the Academy.
Jazz: Our coaches attend over 100 schools in and around London to deliver PPA cover, extended school's activities, teaching assistance. We also run aerobics classes and core fitness training for adults.
TVOS: What makes J&C Academy different from what's already in the market.
Jazz: We're very different due to the range of services we provide.
 
Other companies focus on three or four sports whereas I hold over 15 sports qualifications and many of my staff have in excess of ten qualifications. In addition to football, we can deliver basketball, tag rugby, tennis, hockey, athletics, dance; all at teh same time at the same site.

TVOS - What do you thnk children take from the Academy?
Jazz: Anytime our coaches walk into schools they are swamped with children, shaking their hands and welcoming them. They are so excited and inspired by the way communicate them. We have a firm, fair and friendly approach, which not only them in their sporting development but also their education and social development.
 
TVOS: How positive has the feedback been from parents?
Jazz: Very positive. A parent told me recently that our dance workshop have helped their son's confidence grow and it's been refelcted in his school studies. We conducted a study recently that illustrated that the memorising of dance routines...
 
we teach is helping the children with their mental arithmetic. It helps them think more quickly and triggers the brain to respond.
 
TVOS: What would you say to encourage people to get involved?
Jazz - We believe that sports changes lives. We're encouraging the children's athletic development but we're also developing their educational well-being so that they become productive member of society.
 
TVOS: How satisfied have you been with the achievements of teh ACademy since it's inception in 2004?
Jazz: I've been overwhelmed. It's been a really invigorating experience.
